Description :Sheephaven View Cottage is located on an elevated site overlooking Sheephaven Bay and is approx. a 5 min. drive from the centre of Carrigart village. The cottage features a fabulous light filled, open plan interior with the adjoining sunroom taking full advantage of the views towards Sheephaven Bay. Furnished to the highest standards the cottage has solid pine floors throughout and the walls display paintings by local artists. The village of Carrigart has a range of small local shops along the main street. A relaxing day can be spent browsing these shops, chatting with the locals or perhaps popping into the Carrigart Hotel for some fresh local seafood washed down with a pint of Guinness.
The nearby Rosapenna Golf Club is one of the finest links courses in the county and can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. Sheephaven Bay has some of the richest fishing grounds in Ireland and boats are available for charter from the pier at Downings - during the summer 2004 season quite a few large tuna were landed. The beach at Downings is popular with water sport enthusiasts and if you fancy a bit of scuba diving the local Sheephaven Sub-Aqua Club has all the necessary equipment.
