Description :Located some seven and a half miles south west of Bundoran just off the N15, near Cliffoney; "The Cottage" is beautifully located between the Benbulbin hills and the beaches and sea cliffs of Mullaghmore, and the glorious loughs of North West Ireland. This is the setting that inspired the poetry of Yeats.
"A perfectly tranquil place...."

A traditional Irish thatched cottage, lovingly restored by its owner, warmed by an open turf fire, and sheltered beautifully with a traditional thatched roof. ‘The Cottage’ comfortably sleeps 5-6 people with fluffy duck and goose down duvets in both the double and twin rooms; it also has a fully equipped fitted kitchen and bathroom.

The private, 1/3 acre garden houses a barbecue and a viewing platform overlooking the fairy tale Classiebawn Castle and Mullaghmore harbour.

The Cottage is only 1.5 miles from the sandy beaches, pubs and restaurants of Mullaghmore and 7.5 miles from the lively coastal resort of Bundoran. Not only is it a peaceful setting, it's also perfectly situated for a host of holiday activities.

The cottage is also just 10 miles from Drumcliffe, where the churchyard with the grave of W.B. Yeats lies in the shadow of the majestic flat topped Benbulbin. It has become a sort of pilgrimage destination for Yeats fans, and there is a tourist/coffee shop adjacent to the car park, as well as a few roadside restaurants, notably the Yeats Tavern.

Benbulbin mountain is one of the major landmarks in Ireland, reaching 526 meters; its unique flat top shape make it instantly recognisable. This is even more striking in that it looks similar whether viewed from its northern or its southern side, and is clearly visible even from the northern side of Donegal Bay.

For the equestrian minded, the Island View Riding Stables are just 4 miles away. Enjoy a fresh gallop or leisurely amble over miles of Atlantic beaches, on experienced and sure footed horses. Riding lessons, trekking and access to wild bird and sea habitats are also offered.

Golfers are well catered for, with a fine coastal 18 hole championship course overlooking the Atlantic at nearby Bundoran. It hosts two International competitions as well as a summer open.

There is also the Donegal Golf Club at Murvagh, a beautiful links course, set in the dune-land behind Murvagh beach. It is reputed to be one of the longest courses in Europe.
