Description :Óstán Loch Altan, situated in Gortahork, North West Donegal, is a 39 en-suite bedroom hotel. It is named after Loch Altan, a lake situated at the foot of the northern slopes of nearby Mount Errigal. Gort a'Choirce, meaning field of oats, is at the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht.

Óstán Loch Altan has built up an excellent reputation for the quality of its food. The A La Carte and dinner menus in An Chaiseal Restaurant always include a seasonal selection of fresh local produce with Atlantic fresh fish dishes a speciality. Head chef, Josie Gallagher,looks forward to welcoming you to the SONAS restaurant where you will be treated to a delightful dining experience by restaurant manager Bernie Boyle and her friendly and efficient staff.

The bar of the hotel is known as Teach Pháidin. Here, at the end of the day you may join the ceol, caint agus craic. Alternatively you can soak up the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel lounge.

Óstán Loch Altan has a large function suite, 400 seating capacity and is a popular venue for weddings, concerts, shows etc. The hotel is also a popular choice for residential courses. There is ample space for parking with a public car park in front and to the side and back of the Hotel.
